Southern African Avocado Alligator Pear Smoothie Recipe

Southern African avocado or Alligator Pear in English recipe is a ripe mashed avocado is mixed with milk and sugar to create a creamy smoothie recipe.



Avocados are grown in the tropics on both sides of the equator and in subtropical regions of Africa. Common names are Zavoka in Madagascar, Alligator Pear in English, Avokado in Afrikaans and Ukwatapheya in Zulu.

Ingredients
1 ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
1 cup whole milk
Sugar to taste
½ cup crushed ice


Directions
Combine the avocado, milk, sugar, and ice cubes in a blender; blend until smooth.
