Ocean Green Beach Villas is a gated retirement, vacation rental, Airbnb community located on 14 acres of beach and tree lined land facing the Atlantic Ocean, in Prampram, Ghana.

You want to visit Africa but where do you start? Is it safe? What are the living conditions compared to the USA? Acting on the internal urge to return to the motherland, two of my friends travel to Ghana on a regular basis and discovered Ocean Green Beach Villa Estates located in Prampram, Ghana.

In Washington, D.C., in September 2018, Ghana’s President and chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Nana Akufo-Addo declared in 2019 the Year of Return of Diasporas' to Ghana.

At that event, President Akufo-Addo said, “We know of the extraordinary achievements and contributions Africans in the diaspora made to the lives of the Americans, and it is important that this symbolic year, 400 years later, we commemorate their existence and their sacrifices.”

Ghana is a former British colony located on the south side of West Africa between Cรดte d'Ivoire and Togo. In 1957, it became the first country in Africa below the Saharan desert given independence. Its coastline, formerly called the Gold Coast, extends for about 335 miles or 540 km on the Gulf of Guinea.

The 33rd largest country in Africa, Ghana unveiled a 15-year-long tourism plan in 2019 that seeks to increase the annual number of tourists to Ghana from one million to eight million per year by the year 2027. In 2020, tourism in Ghana earned around 3.4 billion US dollars or 20.66 billion Ghanaian cedi.

With the return of Diaspora's from the USA and other Diaspora countries many entrepreneurs in Ghana are building luxury villas to serve as retirement homes, vacation rentals and Airbnb's. These exclusive homes and communities not only come with luxurious accommodation but plenty of designer features.

Prampram, where Ocean Green Beach Villas is located, is the capital of Ningo-Prampram District, a 30 minute drive from Accra. Ocean Green Beach Villas is a gated vacation rental, Airbnb community located on 14 acres of beach and tree lined property facing  the Atlantic Ocean, in Prampram, Ghana.

Each of the three villas floor plans have an option for a pool, and standard features are a dining room, living room, indoor kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom with showers, bathtubs and toilets, an office, terrace, and garden. Birth place of the Kente cloth, home of the historic first Prime Minister and President of Ghana Kwame Nkrumah and known as the friendliest country in Africa, Ghana hosts safe, high standard vacation homes for your trip back to Africa and Ocean Green Beach Villas provides a safe comfortable place to recreate and rejuvenate in the motherland.

Ghana’s leisure and business sector is growing at an average rate of 10% per annum. Thank you to my friends Rique and Kamau for sharing this beautiful ocean front property I may retire to someday.
