Peppery stews are commonplace everyday meals in Nigerian households. One such stew is groundnut stew. Groundnut stew is commonly eaten with another West African staple Fufu, below is a variation of groundnut stew using chicken.

Nigeria is located in Western Africa, bordering the Gulf of Guinea, between Benin and Cameroon. Nigeria is slightly more than twice the size of the U.S. state of California.

The three largest ethnic groups in Nigeria are the Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the eighth most populous country in the world.
