Palm Oil Nigerian Groundnut Stew

Some of the best food originates from Nigeria. Pounding FUFU to eat with groundnut stew Peppery stews are commonplace everyday meals in Nigerian households. One such stew is groundnut stew. Groundnut stew is commonly eaten with another West African staple Fufu, below is a variation of groundnut stew using chicken. Nigeria is located in Western Africa, bordering the Gulf of Guinea, between Benin and Cameroon. Nigeria is slightly more than twice the size of the U.S. state of California.  The three largest ethnic groups in Nigeria are the Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. Senegal's Door of No Return Dispute

On Senegal's Goree Island outside of its capital Dakar, an important historical site sits as a memorial to the human toll of African slavery. But, at what point does the symbolism overshadow the reality? Statue of captured slaves on Goree island The House of Slaves and its door of no return is a museum and memorial opened in 1962 but many believe Senegal's Goree Island is marginal to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. The House Slaves in Goree is the former home of the merchant Nicolas P├ępin, built on ancient walls in the late eighteenth century. From 1501 to 1866, an estimated 12 million slaves from Africa were captured, bought and enslaved thru the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade; of these, 33,000 came from Goree Island.  That means only 0.27 percent of slaves ever actually stepped through the door of no return. What is the Comoros Fomboni Accord?

Union of the Comoros, Fomboni Agreement. In 2001, the Union of the Comoros; Anjouan, Moheli and Grande Comore signed the Fomboni Agreement. The Fomboni Agreement states the federal presidency rotates among the three islands of Anjouan, Moheli and Grande Comore, however, each island maintains its local government. Madagascar is the 4th large island in the world and is located in the Indian Ocean supporting a unique biology, about 90% of its plants and animals are found nowhere else on earth.

Composed of 155 islands, Seychelles is Africa's smallest country. By far the largest island is Mahe, home to about 90% of the population and the site of its capital city of Victoria.

Cabo Verde has a strategic location 310 miles or 500 km from the west coast of Africa near major north-south sea routes; important communications station; important sea and air refueling site.

Africa is surrounded by water but by definition Africa is not an island because Africa is a continent. Continents can not be considered islands because of their size and also by historic definition since many people who study geography define islands and continents as two different things.
