Sesame seeds or Sesamum indicum grow in tropical regions of Africa.  Sesame seeds are one of the oldest crops processed for oil and are yellow or black colored seeds.

Sesame seed sauce is a thick paste similar in texture to peanut butter but made from sesame seeds. Tahini is also a paste made from ground sesame seeds used primarily in North African and Middle Eastern cooking, sesame seed sauce is used for dips for fritters and breads and as a sauce for grilled meats.

Best Sesame-Seed-Recipe

1 cup toasted sesame seeds
½ teaspoon onion salt
2 tablespoons olive oil

Place all ingredients into a food processor, use the pulse setting on the processor and slowly add oil while grounding until mixture is the consistency of a peanut butter sauce. Store in an airtight container.
