Coconut Lime Coriander Chutney Sauce

Chutney is a sweetly aromatic and usually spicy condiment originally from India but is now part of popular Southern African culture. Chutney is made from a variety of herbs, fruits, vegetables and spices. Serve coriander coconut chutney as a dip for bread or chips or use as a sauce for chicken or grilled meats.


Coconut Lime Coriander Chutney Sauce


Ingredients:

Coconut Lime Coriander Chutney Sauce
1 cup warm lime juice

1 ½ cup coconut flakes

2 handfuls chopped coriander

½ teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon lemon grass paste

1 teaspoon ginger paste

¼ cup sugar

1 small hot pepper


Directions:

Dissolve sugar into lime juice, add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until mixture is the consistency of a thick sauce. Serve as a dip for bread or chips or use as a sauce for chicken or grilled meats.
