Why African Tribes Wander?

Why African tribes wander is an African folklore myth explaining the origin of Africa’s nomadic tribes. Nomads are people who travel around from place to place without having one settled place where they live.

As the elders say, God created a beautiful garden. In this garden, he created a man and a crocodile.

God loved his creations visiting them every day on the banks of a river from which the purest water flowed. Man and crocodile loved the river; however, crocodile began tracking dirty mud and muck in to the pure waters.

Man pleaded to crocodile to stop polluting the pure river waters but crocodile ignored man doing as he pleased. Man was so upset by this he killed crocodile.

God punished man for killing crocodile by driving him out of the garden to wander as nomad tribes until time ceases to exist.
